23 Things Kansas: Twitter

Twitter has been a great tool to get  ideas from others.  I downloaded Tweetdeck to my desktop and when I get to school in the morning, I pull up Tweetdeck.  I quickly scan the tweets and click on the links provided by some.  The links open in a new window.  Throughout the day, I can then go into those links as I get time.

I follow:
Joyce Valenza

Obama When he ran for office, if you joined his twitter, he would follow you.  I thought (at the time) this would be great advocacy for libraries.

For student use, we use Shout’em.  It has been a great tool that simulates Twitter, but much more controlled. For information, see our library newsletter post.
